2009年12月4日，来自美国迈阿密FIU本部的留学生结束了和中国学生共同参与的英语角活动。中美学生通过此次活动加深了交流，增进了感情，中国学生的英语口语能力普遍有所提高，而留学生们更是对中国的人文有了更深的认识和理解。
以下是留学生对此次活动的感想和体会：
English Corner is a great way for Chinese students to gain an insight on Western culture. Through games, discussion, and presentations the students are given real-life exposure. During English Corner various topics are discussed. We talk about music, politics, traditions, art, food, and the general Western way of life. The time spent in English Corner is enjoyable for the students and they look forward to attending each week. The environment in which we all learn and teach each other is very relaxed and casual. It is a nice departure from the more conventional classes that we have all taken in college. The students feel comfortable expressing their opinions, asking questions, and presenting their own ideas. In the beginning, the students were a little shy and hesitant to participate in conversation but as we progressed they have come out of their shells. It was a joy to get to know the students and their personalities. They all are very bright and gifted people who will contribute greatly to FIU-TUC and China. It was a pleasure leading the English Corner for the new students enrolled in the program. I hope they learned from me as much as I learned from them.
